Camps & Missions
Each year we usually organise separate three or four day camps for the 11-16’s and 16-30’s. These camps usually take place at Halls Green, a Christian activity centre near Sevenoaks, Kent and include a full programme of teaching, worship and activities. Over the years, these camps have proved to be a great blessing in the lives of those who have attended as well as being lots of fun and an opportunity to make and develop friendships. In 2011 there will probably be a camp for 11-18's over the Easter Weekend.
This year our Life Weekend away will be at Ashburnham Place, East Sussex from 3-5 December 2010. Our guest speaker is Michael Ross-Watson who will be speaking on 'Understanding the Holy Spirit and His gifts.' It is essential that you book early for the weekend as we spaces are limited!. You can download a copy of the booking form here.
We make the publicity for the camps available at least six months before the date of the camp which means the cost can be paid in instalments. A bursary fund exists for families and individuals who might not be able to afford the full cost of the camp.
New Life also organises overseas missions trips for young people. These are a fantastic opportunity for young people to experience a different culture and to use the gifts and abilities God has given them to serve others. In recent years we have been able to send teams to Ukraine, Malta, Russia, Moldova, Romania, Zambia and Kenya. In 2010 we have already been to Romania, and are planning missions to Zambia, Kenya and Eastern Europe.
We have also taken part in youth missions here in Croydon and other places in the United Kingdom.
Please contact us at New Life if you would like more details about camps and missions trips.
