Jam

Jam is the name of our full schools’ team which was established in 1999 to ‘share the Christian faith in a fun, effective way with the children and young people of Croydon.’

Our Jam team is jointly led by Shereen Findlater and Lyanna Austin and includes three other full time workers as well as other part time volunteers.

The Jam team visit primary schools, secondary schools and pupil referral units all over Croydon taking assemblies, lessons, lunch time and after school clubs. The team are also responsible for helping to organise the annual Croydon Schools Christian Union weekend away.

Jam works closely with Croydon Community Against Trafficking (CCAT) to inform schools on the problems associated with human trafficking within our borough.

In late 2008 Jam established ‘J.Christ’, an online prayer request website for young people in Croydon.
