Who We Are
We believe that local churches like New Life have a vital role to play in carrying out God’s purposes. Here at New Life there are three core values that shape who we are and what we do as a church.
1) Reaching
When our present building was opened we were encouraged to see it as a fishing boat from which we could reach out, drawing people into God’s kingdom. Part of our responsibility is to touch our local community, seeking God for the most effective ways of impacting non-Christians with the reality of the good news of Jesus Christ. We also believe that we have a responsibility to reach out and show God’s love to the nations of the world.
2) Caring
We have a responsibility to care for the spiritual and practical needs of all those who are part of our fellowship. We also believe that we have a special responsibility to care for the poor and the marginalised in our town and also in other nations of the world.
3) Equipping
We aim to help people reach the full potential of their giftings and callings so they have a sense of fulfilment in serving the purposes of God. We also have the desire to help equip other fellowships and communities of believers both in the UK and overseas.
